Greatest Fear Rant

Confession time: spilling the tea on my greatest fear as an artist. I paint things that elicit emotion within me when I see them because of the immense beauty that they possess. That might be a tiny flower, a majestic creature, or a person whose inner strength and beauty cannot be contained by flesh.

What is your greatest fear as an artist, musician, photographer, tradesperson, etc?

Mine is that I might not be able to convey that beauty through painting. The thought of destroying or minimizing that type of beauty with brushstrokes devastates me. Every time I paint, I have to talk myself out of these insecurities and paint on…
